about

WELCOME TO RIVER CITY LANES - HOME TO GREAT FOOD, GREAT PEOPLE, AND POST FALLS ONLY BOWLING ALLEY.

Our History

During the heyday of bowling, the city was desperate to provide its constituents with a recreational outlet during the long, cold and dark winter nights. They donated the old sawmill land in order to entice the original owners into building the center, only to realize that the sawmill smell was too strong and bothersome. This is how we ended up on the west end of Seltice Way. We kept the name, The Sawmill, for many years before deciding it was time to make a change in the late 90’s.

We are River City Lanes, and we have been in the business arena for 44 years. We started being in the business world since 1974. Major changes in our business began when in our small town, we were looking to do something fun in town and two ordinary guys like us had this crazy idea, and we ended up going over to Japan (of all places!) and purchasing equipment from over there. We brought it back to Idaho and our business (and our lives) have been changing ever since.

Today, River City Lanes is more committed than ever to providing you with the best bowling experience possible. Next door to the historic Slab Inn on Seltice Way in Post Falls, we are ideally located just 12 minutes from downtown Coeur d’Alene, 10 minutes from Liberty Lake, and 25 minutes from downtown Spokane!  Whether you come here for a weekly league, a birthday/corporate party, or just to have a fun time out with your family and friends, we hope you enjoy everything our facility has to offer and look forward to helping you have a great time in the future!

Whether you're looking to bowl a few frames, grab a handcrafted meal, or host your next big celebration, River City Lanes delivers an experience unlike any other in the Inland Northwest.
